I was a piece of white paper and felt full of painful emptiness. So, I pursued something to fill this blank paper. I always considered what I should do with this painting, until my teacher suggested the idea of painting something that would bring joy to people. I finally decided to paint...
Designing the composition was the second step. I planned that this rainbow should be close to a vast expansive ocean, because it gave me a strong sense of depth. This composition made it appear that the rainbow was trying hard to penetrate the ocean, and curved to reach the other side.
Lastly, deciding on key colors for my painting was the most important job, because it directly revealed my emotions. I used a bright color palette to indicate all seven colors of the rainbow. Meanwhile, the ocean I decided to use dark blue to represent the danger of its depth, and light blue to display the clarity of its shallow. Comparing the dark blue in the ocean with the vivid colors of the rainbow, made the rainbow shine brighter than the ocean.
Look! I think I am a person who is like this painting; placid, happy and courageous. Maybe Advertising is that ocean, fresh and challenging. However, I am the rainbow which has the power to overcome challenges and become even brighter. Hopefully through Advertising, I can affect people and bring joy to all of them.
